Our Medical Director, Dr. Kate Sapato grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago and has dreamed of living in the city ever since. Following her passion for animals and science, Dr. Sapato attended the University of Illinois and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology. She earned her DVM at the University of WI-Madison in 2020 and has been with BLVD Vet ever since!

Dr. Peters is a Chicago-land native and attended the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign! Dr. Peters enjoys many areas of veterinary medicine, but particularly enjoys dermatology, internal medicine, and dentistry. She strongly believes in client education and communication and hopes to empower owners to make the best health decisions for their pets.

Dr. Cruz moved to Chicago in 2015, but was born in Mexico City and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She says she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since before she could even say the word ‘veterinarian’! She has been a practicing veterinarian since 2007. Her favorite thing about being a veterinarian is getting a glimpse into people’s relationships with their pets and how they express their love and care for one another.

Dr. Brill is originally from Glenview, Illinois where she started volunteering at a local shelter and fell in love with veterinary medicine and the difference it can make in both animal and human lives. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Zoology and a certificate in environmental studies.
