Live Like Roo Sugar Forever Fundraiser
Friends and Neighbors,
We recently experienced the heartbreaking loss of our long-time patient and Rescue Partner pup, Sugar Momma. Sugar was a Live Like Roo sponsor who beat the odds and outlived her cancer diagnosis by three whole years. Not familiar with Live Like Roo? They are a local non-profit organization that provides support and financial assistance to families whose pet faces a cancer diagnosis.
Our friends at Live Like Roo trusted us to care for Sugar and in the process we were rewarded by every minute we spent with her and her foster-turned-forever mom, Lauren. Sugar had mass after mass removed as she continued to surprise us with her zest for life.
In honor of Sugar’s iconic life, we are hosting a Sugar Forever Fundraiser. Monday, May 8th - Sunday, May 14th we are matching up to $500 in donations made to Live Like Roo.
Each donation counts as an entry to the Sugar Forever raffle prize pack of a $100 gift card to River North dog friendly bar, Clark Street Ale House and a custom embroidered pet sweatshirt from The Shaggy Paw. Please send a screenshot of your donation to donation@blvd.vet to be entered.
Sugar’s story is important because she started off at Chicago Animal Care and Control and ended up being matched to her foster mom through Live Like Roo. Additionally, Live Like Roo covered the cost of all of Sugar’s medical needs through the remainder of her life. As our River North Rescue Partner, Sugar received 50% off of her services at BLVD Vet. All of these hands on deck helped Sugar outlast her prognosis and live a happy, fulfilled life. We are so honored to work alongside our friends at Live Like Roo and show support to the Chicago Rescue/Supportive Care Community. We are so proud of our River North team for taking such great care of Sugar - helping her live a longer and better life.
