Bio

Dr. Emma grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and has always had a deep love for animals. That love turned into a calling for medicine in high school, when her family rescued a dog who needed extensive medical care. Dr. Emma was hands-on in her care every step of the way, and watching her regain her confidence and happiness as she healed showed Dr. Emma just how much of an impact veterinary medicine can have on an animal's quality of life. From there, she never looked back.

Dr. Emma earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, where she double-majored in English and Biology, before going on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Midwestern University.

One of Dr. Emma's favorite parts of veterinary medicine is getting to know her patients across every stage of life, from bouncy puppyhood all the way through their senior years. She also loves the variety the job brings: no two patients, clients, or days are ever quite the same, which keeps her constantly learning and engaged. Speaking of variety, you’ll see Dr. Emma at all of our locations as she travels between them for appointments and surgery shifts!

Dr. Emma recently made the move to Chicago and is excited to now call the city home. At home, she's kept busy by her pack: Finn, an 11-breed mixed-breed dog with a one-of-a-kind pedigree, and two black cats, Hank and Hugo. Outside of work, she enjoys running, crocheting, reading, and baking.
