Bio

Dr. Cruz moved to Chicago in 2015, but was born in Mexico City and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She says she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since before she could even say the word ‘veterinarian’! She has been a practicing veterinarian since 2007 and says her favorite thing about being a veterinarian is getting a glimpse into people’s relationships with their pets and how they express their love and care for one another. Dr. Cruz also comes to us with training in acupuncture & Chinese medicine through IVAS and a certification in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy through Healing Oasis Wellness Center.

When she’s not at work, Dr. Cruz enjoys traveling Mexico and aims to visit all the Pueblos Mágicos as soon as possible!
