Boulevard Veterinary

Veterinarian

Our practices are AAHA-accredited and uphold the gold standard of veterinary medicine. “Best Patient and Client Care” is our first Core Value and we look for veterinarians who have the clinical and communication skills to uphold that core value.

Practice at BLVD

We hire veterinarians who care deeply about clinical excellence and have a strong track record of quality training and relevant work experience. Equally important is the ability to communicate knowledge empathetically and effectively to clients. Candidates will be evaluated for these skills through a series of in person and working interviews. If you find our practice appealing and feel you have skills and long term goals that align with BLVD Vet’s, please let us know.

Once hired, a veterinarian will be paired with a senior BLVD veterinarian for a structured training period regardless of experience level. The training period will vary from 2 weeks for a highly experienced veterinarian to 3 months for a new DVM graduate.  For new graduates, this is not a sink or swim culture - we want to set you up for success with individualized training and attention. During the training period you will be working in tandem with another veterinarian and have their undivided assistance as you begin to handle your own cases. In order to provide a high quality training experience, we limit the number of new graduate hires annually.

All veterinarians at BLVD are supported by a robust and highly skilled Veterinary Technician team.  Our veterinary technicians perform all blood draws, radiographs, catheter placements, induction, intubation, dental scaling, dental radiographs, dental charting, anesthetic monitoring, patient recovery, creating and delivering estimates and invoicing so that our veterinarians can focus on diagnosing, treatment plans and communicating thoroughly with clients.

Engaging clients and computer efficacy are essential to your role at BLVD, as well as skills including general surgery, oral surgery and radiographic evaluation, sound diagnostic methodology and understanding of wellness care. Efficiency and hard work are expected. You will be supported by modern, state of the art equipment and facilities, an engaged support and management team and opportunities for full benefits including PTO, STO, continuing education stipend, Health Insurance and 401k. Pay is highly competitive and based on experience, certifications, and previous professional accomplishments.

Lastly, BLVD is independent and 100% veterinarian owned. Dr. Frederickson participates in all DVM meetings, lends feedback and offers insights on medical issues and protocols in collaboration with BLVD Medical Directors. He is willing to entertain any well-reasoned request for new equipment or training that a veterinarian has a particular interest in.
