A Curbside Service Update

Friends and Neighbors,

With COVID-19 cases surging, effective immediately, we have made the decision to continue with curbside service indefinitely for all three practices. We will not be allowing clients to enter our facilities to minimize potential exposure and surface contamination.

The COVID-19 safety protocols we have been following will remain the same per CDC Guidelines.

If your pet has an appointment:

  • Call when you arrive

  • Let us know your name and your pet’s name

  • Give us the phone number we can call you at during your pet’s appointment

  • Plan to stay nearby

A BLVD team member will come retrieve your pet. Your pet will be brought into the practice and we will call you to discuss the reason for your visit, recommendations and check out before we return your pet to you.

We can accomplish keeping each other safe if we all take responsibility and do our parts. Together in spirit, we will get through this. In the meantime, we have added some tips to navigating curbside through the cold!

Plan ahead

  • Plan for the elements.

  • Are you driving your pet to their appointment?

    • Plan to park within walking distance of the practice

    • Someone dropping you off?

    • We highly encourage you to have a vehicle to wait in for shelter as the temperature drops. If this is not an option, plan to dress accordingly if you are waiting outside during the appointment.

  • Make sure your phone is charged.

    • Our team will communicate the details of your appointment via telephone so make sure to be fully charged!

Dress the Part

  • If your pet needs to wear winter gear to stay warm, make sure to use positive reinforcement training methods so they can dress the part!

  • Never force sweaters, jackets or booties on your pet before they are comfortable with it. Check out our Separation Anxiety Blog for lots of tips on how to use positive reinforcement methods with your pet.

  • We ask that all humans wear a mask. Check out our Getting Your Pet Comfortable with Face Masks Blog to help your pet adjust!

Hang Tight

  • We ask that you don’t stray too far while waiting for your pet’s appointment to be complete. Our goal is to minimize the amount of time your pet has to be without you, their favorite person.

  • Our team will communicate with you via telephone during your appointment.

  • Once the appointment is complete, we will complete your invoice with contactless payment.

We will continue to modify curbside service as needed while we navigate the current landscape. While there is no one size fits all approach, this is what we feel prioritizes the safety and comfort of our team, our patients and our clients. We are confident that our curbside service will continue to run smoothly as our team is prepared for swift drop offs.

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask us. We are always here for you and your pet.

Sincerely,

The BLVD Team
